Stanton do the double!
The Mixed Interclub final took place at Notts Golf Club, Hollinwell on Sunday 14th September 2025. The final was played between Stanton on the Wolds & Oakmere Admirals; representing Stanton were Scott Hamilton & Emma Howie and Sam Horsley & Karen Raynor; representing Oakmere Admirals were Chris Biggs & Franky Harper and Tom Pang & Helen Norris.
The day started fine but heavy rain was forecast during the afternoon. After the morning round, Stanton were 1 up in the 1st match and Oakmere 5 up in the second, so Oakmere leading 4 up. Stanton fought back in the second round winning the 1st match 4 up. In the second match Oakmere were 5 up playing the 36th hole, which they lost to a birdie when Karen holed a 15 footer, so they won 4 up which meant the final was all square - so off to do the deciding holes in the rain!
Stanton won the deciding holes 2 up so take the trophy to add to their Ladies Interclub win - well done Stanton!
