Second Team Home Match v Lincolnshire
Our home match v Lincolnshire was at Oakmere Park Golf Club on Thursday 7th August. The weather was kind to us in the morning but in the afternoon we all got wet, but everybody remained focused. The team was Millie Browne, Caron Harrison, Hayley Laverty, Jorja Newbold, Ellen Sanderson, Sue West and Ellie Wang.
Millie made her debut for Nottinghamshire with 2 wins. Millie is 14 and a definite star for the future along with Ellie Wang, aged 10, who also had two wins. Caron Harrison and Ellen Sanderson won their foursomes match 2&1. Millie played with Hayley Laverty and won 3&1. Young Ellie was supported by Sue West, a great team, and won 2&1.
In the afternoon Susie Taylor was a superb caddy for Ellie. They both got wet and tired but kept going. I’m sure it wont be too long before both Millie & Ellie will be representing Notts in the First Team. We were 3-0 up after the foursomes and then 4-2 in the afternoon.
A FANTASTIC 7-2 WIN. Well played everybody, you're all superstars!
