Congratulations to Elizabeth Wilson!
Last week Elizabeth Wilson from Norwood Park, now a member of the England Women's Squad, represented England by playing in the Spanish International Women's Amateur Championship at Sotogrande. It was a fantastic week for Lizzie, who battled through two rounds of stroke play and four match play clashes to reach the final, which was played on Sunday 8th March.
Unfortunately Lizzie lost the final on 18th green as she narrowly missed taking the match to extra holes after an inspired run of victories on holes 15, 16, and 17. What an amazing performance, showing yet again what a fighter she is and never giving up hope!
Nottinghamshire is very proud of you Lizzie!
