County President's Day 2025
Thank you to everyone who played in and supported my County President's Day at Sherwood Forest Golf Club on Monday 6th October.
What a day we had! Sherwood was in great condition and we were all well served by the pro-shop and catering teams throughout the day. Thank you to everyone at Sherwood for allowing us the use of the course for the day and whoever organised the weather deserves a massive vote of thanks - it was glorious!
It was lovely to greet so many old friends on the 1st tee as well as meet some of those newer to golf. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and hope you all had a great day too. Apologies to those who might have encountered sone nipping ladybirds while out on the course - but at least they were wearing our county colours!
There were some great scores and the prize winners were as follows:
Winners : Helen Haycox (The Nottinghamshire), Carol Houghton ( Sherwood), Lesley Morris (Notts Ladies) and Franky Harper (Oakmere Commanders) - 90 points
2nd Place : Alison Banks, Yvette Saunders, Bee McClintock and Karen Wheatley (all Sherwood Forest) - 83 points
3rd Place : Andrea Stockdale (Sherwood), Sue Penfold (Sherwood), Janet Peters (Notts Ladies) and Anne Lindley (Mapperley) - 81 points on c/b
4th Place : Colette Newton, Jo Hopkins, Pam Loch and Christine Hargreaves (all Notts Ladies) - 81 points
Nearest the Pins were won by Marion Turnbull (Notts Ladies) on the 4th hole and Mary Ryan (Sherwood) on the 15th hole.
