County Waltz Results

2^nd April, 2012 - The County Waltz.

First of all a big thank you to our friends at Beeston Fields Golf Club who very kindly provided us with courtesy of their course to enable us to hold this event. 

The competition was promoted with the sole intention of raising funds for our 1^st and 2^nd teams and the support given to it has been tremendous.  We enjoyed a full starting sheet with 31 teams participating.

The prizes were very kindly sponsored by Glen Newton (Four Winds Textiles) and Robert Hartley (Innes England) so an extremely big “thank you” for their support and most generous gestures. 

The eventual winners with 67 points were a team from Notts. Ladies GC comprising Jenny Boneham, Janet Ledger and Sharon Coyne (not in photo).  In second place with 66 points were the team of P. Fox, B. Briggs and J. Self from Retford and the third place team again with 66 points were G. Stevenson, C. Greenwood and A. Boucher from Ramsdale Park. 

To boost funds even more, a bottle raffle was held on the day and I was delighted and quite touched by your generous donations.

Together we managed to raise the sum of £978  – my sincere thanks to everyone concerned.
