Success for Notts Girls at Four Counties
On a warm, sunny day at Stanton Notts girls
excelled in the four counties event.
21 girls of various abilities and handicaps represented
Notts.
Emma Newlove (Notts) and Meghan McClaren (northants)
both scored a gross 74, one over par, to tie for first place. This meant a
sudden death play off with Emma losing to a birdie from Meghan on the first
hole. Well done, Emma recording 4 under her handicap.
The nett trophy was also contested over the same
score 64! Beth Barks (notts) unfortunately missed out on the back nine to
Georgie Ivens (northants). Another two excellent scores.
Lianna Bailey was the worthy winner of the U15
trophy with a gross 77.
Notts recorded a clean sweep of all the other
individual gross and nett prizes.
Jodie Peacock recorded her best score to date
with a gross 75 for 3rd prize.
Sarah Riddell was 3rd nett 69
Esme Hamilton 4th nett 69
Keeley Sweeney 5th nett 70.
The best scratch team prize went to Notts with
Emma, Lianna and Emily Cheshire
The best nett team were Jodie, Jessica Bailey and
Eliza Davidson.
The second nett team were from Lincolnshire.
The hidden team prize for the best Notts
unofficial team went to Beth, Sarah and Amy Oxbury.
Well played to all of you, you were a credit to
yourselves and the County!
